A 51-YEAR-OLD man who was murdered in Crewe has been named as Stephen O’Brien.
Mr O’Brien, from Crewe, died on Wednesday, August 31, after he was stabbed in the chest during an incident in an alleyway off Edleston Road.
Two men and a 46-year-old woman were arrested in relation to the incident on Thursday, September 1.
Following questioning, Oliver Dabbs, aged 19, of Wood Street, Crewe and Cameron Scragg, aged 20, of Gresty Road, Crewe were both charged with murder.
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: “We can now confirm that the name of the man who was murdered in Crewe on Augusts 31 as Stephen John O’Brien.
Mr O’Brien, who was from the Crewe area, died as a result of a single stab wound to the chest following an incident in an alleyway off Edleston Road.”
Dabbs and Scragg appeared at Crewe Magistrates Court South Cheshire Magistrates Court on Monday, September 5, where there were remanded in custody.
The pair are set to appear at Chester Crown Court on Wednesday, September 7.
The 46-year-old woman has been released on bail, pending further enquiries.
Cheshire police are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident.
