Leighton Hospital is offering nurses who have left the profession the chance to be paid while they retrain, following the successful launch of a ‘Return to Practice’ scheme.
Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust introduced the programme last year and recently celebrated when all nurses on the course secured jobs.
The Trust is now hoping to repeat the success by running the programme for a second time.
Alison Lynch, Director of Nursing and Quality at MCHFT, said: “Returning to nursing may sound like a big decision, but our programme makes it easy for individuals to put their invaluable skills and experience back into practice.
“The scheme is unique in that, as well as offering a salary, we make it as flexible as possible. Opportunities are available in all areas of nursing, including general and specialist surgery, medicine and emergency care, paediatrics, rehabilitation, and community nursing.”
