FIREFIGHTERS tackled a fire in the kitchen of a semi-detached house in Crewe this afternoon.
Two fire engines from Crewe and one from Alsager attended the fire at a house in Moreton Road at 2.31pm.
The fire, which was put out by the crews, two wearing breathing apparatus using a hose reel jet, started after cooking had been left unattended.
A high pressure fan was used to clear smoke from the property.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service is urging people to always follow its cooking safety advice, which can be found on its website.
