MOTORCYCLISTS are being urged to check their helmets, after Cheshire East Council advised of three models it believes to be unsafe for use.

The affected helmets do not comply with global regulations, and people are urged to stop using them immediately and contact the supplier for further information.

One is the Otech/Jix open face crash helmet, model OP02 – also known as Q102. They are labelled on the chin strap with E9-05.1769 and E9-05.1952.

Another is the Otech/Jix full face motorcycle helmet, twin/sun visor model A5005 – also known as Q5005. They are labelled on the chin strap with E9-05.1679.

Both of the above have been recalled by the supplier The third helmet is the Otech/Jix flip up motorcycle helmet with double visor, model A113 – also known as Q113.

They are marked on the chin strap with E9-05.1793. This helmet is subject to a recall notice, and anyone who has one is advised to stop using it immediately.
