ITV series Britain’s Best Walks will be touring Cheshire in tonight's episode at 8pm.
TV presenter Julia Bradbury will be walking the Sandstone Trail and stopping off at an array of attractions en route including celebrity wedding favourite Peckforton Castle and the medieval fortification of Beeston Castle.
Outdoor discovery app ViewRanger has teamed up with The Outdoor Guide – the official website for Britain’s Best Walks – to create interactive digital guides for each route.
They will be available to download immediately after each episode from theoutdoorguide.co.uk
Craig Wareham, ViewRanger CEO, said: “We’re delighted to once again be working with The Outdoor Guide to create a fantastic series of routes in some of Britain’s top outdoor locations. Our aim at ViewRanger is to make the outdoors accessible to everyone, and these family-friendly routes are a perfect example of that.
“Simply download them to your phone after each episode, then head outside and start exploring. The app allows you to track your progress on detailed maps and works without phone signal, pointing out the most interesting points along the route as you walk.”
Walking routes from each episode of the six-part series can be downloaded free from the ViewRanger app including Julia’s visit to the Sandstone Trail.
