FIREFIGHTERS were called to a house in Crewe in the early hours of this morning after a tumble dryer caught fire.
The incident happened at 12.40am at an address in Tatton Road, Wistaston.
Two fire engines from Crewe attended and firefighters used breathing apparatus and a hose reel to extinguish the fire.
The house was fitted with smoke alarms that helped alert the homeowner to the fire.
