FED up of overnight M6 closures?

Well you're not the only one.

Reports today suggest Manchester United coach Jose Mourinho was less than impressed after his team did not get back from their FA Cup defeat at Chelsea on Monday night until 4am the following morning.

The plane supposed to be taking them home from London was not at Heathrow at its scheduled departure time meaning the players returned to the north on their team coach instead.

But to make matters worse, it has been reported motorway roadworks meant the trip to Manchester took four-and-a-half hours so United did not get back until 64 hours before the second leg of their Europa Cup tie with FC Rostov is due to kick off.

We feel your pain Jose.

Full overnight closures have been taking place since January this year between junction 16 (Crewe) and junction 17 as work takes place to turn the stretch of the motorway up to Knutsford (junction 19) into a smart motorway.
