REGISTERED Nurses and third year nursing students could land a job at a recruitment event at Leighton Hospital.

Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (MCHFT), which manages Leighton Hospital in Crewe, Victoria Infirmary in Northwich and Elmhurst Intermediate Care Centre in Winsford, will be hosting the event on Wednesday, April 26 to recruit nurses to a variety of specialties.

Taking place in Leighton Hospital’s School of Nursing between 2pm and 6pm, the afternoon will feature tours of the hospital and the chance to talk to staff about their experiences of working for the trust and the different opportunities available.

Those who attend could also walk away with a position – interested nurses are invited to book their own interview for the day and, if successful, could be offered a job on the spot.

The trust is looking to recruit a number of Registered Nurses to a range of specialties.

These include surgical specialties, trauma and orthopaedics, theatres, medicine, emergency care, paediatrics, rehabilitation, and community nursing.

Linda Ormson, Divisional Head of Nursing for Medicine and Emergency Care, said: “We have set up this event so that people can see for themselves why we are so highly regarded as an employer.

“We are renowned for the support we give to all new staff, are consistently ranked as one of the top NHS organisations to work for and earlier this year achieved the best results of all acute trusts in the national NHS Staff Survey.

“If you are a Registered Nurse looking for something new, or a student looking to launch your career, then we would be delighted to meet you and discuss the various opportunities we have.”

Those interested can simply turn up on the day, but are encouraged to call the recruitment office on 01270 612 198 to register attendance and book an interview slot.
