AN electric box is believed to have caused a major fire at a house in Daisy Bank Crescent, Audlem yesterday.
Fire crews from Crewe, Nantwich and Middlewich were called to the semi detached property at 7pm.
On arrival they found the property well alight and used two hose reels and a large fan to extinguish the fire.
Four firefighters wore breathing apparatus.
A spokesman said: "Fire crews found that the fire started in an electric box. Fire crews were in attendance for approximately four hours."
