A CARE home is opening its doors to the public today, Friday, to celebrate a nationwide initiative aimed at creating relationships between care homes and their communities.
The team at Station House in Victoria Avenue have invited the people of Crewe to join them at a family-friendly event between 10.30am and 3.30pm to mark Care Home Open Day.
World cuisine will be on offer, with a multi-cultured buffet lunch as well as morning coffee, tea and biscuits.
There will also be an opportunity to get up close to owls with Pam Graham from Stockley Farm Birds of Prey Centre, and enjoy live entertainment from Musical Moments.
Sarah Evans, home manager at Station House, said: “Care Home Open Day is about connecting people and enriching the lives of residents by building lasting relationships with the local community across the generations.
“We cannot wait to open our doors to the community to showcase everything Station House has to offer and the difference care homes make to residents’ lives and their wellbeing.
"We have planned a fun day for all the family and a warm welcome awaits the people of Crewe.”
