MEMBERS of the 18th Crewe Rainbows took part in a unique event in Liverpool called Razaam.

Twenty-seven girls aged between five and seven joined over 800 Rainbows from across the north west of England to the ACC Arena to celebrate the organisations 30th birthday.

The girls took part in superhero-themed activities, including acrobatic workshops and fairground rides.

Julie Bell, the region Chief Commissioner, said: “Razaam has been a truly inspirational and fun-filled day.

“It’s been such a unique way to celebrate the Rainbow’s 30th birthday, and it’s been fantastic to see the girls making friendships from all across the north west.”

For many of the girls, this was the first time they have attended an event of this scale with other rainbows.

Charlotte Hackett, six, from Crewe Rainbows, said: “I had a great time at Razaam. It was so much fun.”

Rainbows is Girlguidings youngest section, offering activities where they can develop self-confidence, learn new things, make friends and have fun.
