FIREFIGHTERS were called to a Nantwich garden yesterday were a gas cylinder was on fire.
One fire engine from Nantwich and one from Crewe were sent to the scene in Birchin Lane at 4.45pm.
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire Service said: βAn LPG cylinder was on fire in the front garden of a Birchin Lane property. Firefighters, one wearing breathing apparatus, used a hose reel jet to put out the fire and cool the cylinder down. The temperature was then monitored using a thermal imaging camera.β
