NANTWICH Civic Hall is hosting a gin tasting event in September.

The Gin Jamboree, which will feature more than 100 artisan gins from around the world, will be held on Friday, September 29.

The event is hosted by the same team who broke the world record for the largest gin tasting event in 2016.

Andrew Wilson, Gin Jamboree organiser, said: “The turnout for our events has been phenomenal with them selling out in a matter of days.

“We have so many gins to try and every one of them is unique. The great thing about the new wave of artisan gins is they’re produced with great loving care by keen alchemists.”

Tickets include a booklet describing all 100 gins, a ‘balloon’ glass to take home and supper. Entertainment is also provided including cocktail flair demonstrations.

Andrew said: “The Gin Jamboree will be the first of its kind in Nantwich. Our events give us a legitimate excuse to mix up a cocktail and share our knowhow about the many exceptional gins now available.”

The sales of gin broke £1 billion last year with a growth rate higher than any other spirit sold in the UK.

The event takes place between 6.3opm and 11.30pm at £15 per person for an early bird ticket.
