TWO FRIENDS have had their head shaved and raised £2,720 for charity.

Kerri Williams and Tom Essex braved the shave with the money going towards Kidney Care UK and Head Injured People in Cheshire.

Kerri, who organised the shave in memory of her mother, has fulfilled one of her list of fifty unusual and exciting challenges.

She has also taken on the Acerbital Slide at the Olympic Park, brave the Velocity Zipline in north Wales and completed the Crystal Maze in Manchester.

Kerri said: “Cutting my hair was drastic but it’s always been something that I have wanted to do and it was a great way to raise vital funds for charity.

“It was for my mum and for kidney dialysis patients who go through four-hour treatment sessions three times each week.

“I can’t believe that we raised so much on the night and more through the website.

“Tom had his hair cut in aid of Head Injured People in Cheshire. It was wondering being able to hand over the cheque to Ian Skaithe from the HIP charity in person.”

The cut took place in Crewe’s Crosville Club as part of an evening of celebration including a performance from rock and pop band SWaY as well as local DJs.

Kerri’s hair was donated to the Little Princess Trust.
