SPECSAVERS in Crewe celebrated 25 years since the store opened and raised £150 for charity.
On Saturday, August 12, the Market Street shop held a fun day of activities which included cake, sweet sales, lucky dip competition and face painting with proceeds going towards Elle’s Wishes.
To mark the 25-year anniversary, staff wore retro clothing for the 90s themed fancy dress with customers also invited to join in.
The special guest of the day was 11-year-old Elle Morris, a young girl with cystic fibrosis who is supported by the charity Elle’s Wishes.
Michael Elleray, Crewe Specsavers store director, said: “I’m so proud of the team’s hard work in raising £150 for little Elle.
“It was a pleasure to use the celebrations of the store’s birthday as a means of raising money for a charity that supports such a brave and lovely little girl.
“Since the opening, our store has worked hard to help the community and this day is just a further show of that.
“It is a brilliant milestone and a brilliant day for all who came. Thanks to our customers and especially to Elle who brought a smile to everyone’s faces.”
