TWO men have been arrested for a string of offences following an assault in Dunwoody Way in Crewe on Sunday, 18 June.

The arrests come following vital information from the public about the whereabouts of three wanted men from Crewe.

Derek Cornes, 32, of West Street, and Damian Clough, 28 of Underwood Lane, have subsequently been charged with GBH, assault by beating, and possession of an offensive weapon.

A 45-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender - he has since been released under investigation pending further enquiries.

A third man remains outstanding.

Cornes and Clough have been remanded into custody and are due to appear before South & East Cheshire Magistrates Court today, Thursday 24, August.
