A WOMAN has been left with ‘serious injuries’ following a crash in Nantwich Road.

On Thursday, September 7 police were called at 12.15pm to reports of a collision between a HGV and car in the A534.

The passenger of the car, a woman, has been taken to Royal Stoke Hospital via air ambulance with serious injuries.

The driver of the car, a man, has been taken to Leighton Hospital via road ambulance.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: “Emergency services are at the scene and road closures are in place on the junction with Broughton Lane and Manor Way.

“Motorists are urged to avoid the area and find an alternative route if possible.”
