ST Luke's Hospice is joining forces with 200 other hospices across the UK to celebrate everyone involved in helping it to provide care.
This week marks the Hospice UK charity's Hospice Care Week, from October 9 to October 15.
The theme for 2017 is 'we are hospice care', and throughout the week St Luke's is shining the spotlight on its staff, volunteers, donors and supporters – with members of the public asked to get involved on social media with the hashtag #WeAreHospiceCare.
Wendy Wilson, matron at St Luke's, said: "Hospice Care Week is something we look forward to celebrating every year because it is an opportunity to showcase the incredible care we provide here.
"With the theme being 'we are hospice care' we can show the community all the different people who help to make this care possible.
"From our medical and social care staff to volunteers, and our fundraisers to the people who put change in our collection boxes – we couldn’t provide the vital, compassionate care we do without working together."
