A DRIVER was treated for injuries following a crash with a lorry at junction 19 of the M6 northbound.
All lanes have now reopened following recovery of the vehicles.
The collision, reported to police at 12.14pm, is still causing long queues down beyond junction 18 for Middlewich and Holmes Chapel and as far as Crewe at junction 16.
Police say a white VW Golf and white Mercedes HGV crashed, forcing the car into the central reservation.
The driver of the Golf was treated by paramedics in the car.
At their peak, the queues caused delays of around an hour and a half according to Highways England.
Two lanes were closed within the roadworks, with Highways England and emergency services on the scene.
