FIREFIGHTERS were called to a house fire in Crewe last night.
Emergency services were called to an address in Wheelman Road just before 9pm following reports of a fire in one of the bedrooms.
Two fire engines attended from Crewe attended the scene.
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Firefighters used one hose reel, positive pressure ventilation fan and thermal image camera to extinguish the fire.
“One casualty was checked over by ambulance crews at the scene due to suffering from smoke inhalation. Firefighters were in attendance for one hour.”
