THE RSPCA is desparately looking to give a cat that used to sleep rough a new home.

Black and white cat Gina came into the RSPCA’s Stapeley Grange Cattery, in Nantwich, at the beginning of August after being found as a stray in Stockport.

She was moved into one of the pods at the cattery, where staff placed a hanging bed for her - something which she discovered she loved.

Every day since then, Gina spends hours at a time lying in the bed, only coming out of it for food and the occasional play with a member of staff.

Lee Stewart, manager of the cattery, said: “Because she is in her hanging bed all the time, whenever people come to the cattery to look at adopting one of our cats they never get to see Gina as she won’t come out of her favourite spot to greet people.

“It is a shame as she is such a lovely cat. We really would love to find her to a home where she could be with a loving family and of course her hanging bed.

“The hanging bed is something of a luxury to her as she wouldn’t have had anything like this when she was living rough as a stray. Now that she has found her hanging bed, she doesn’t want to be apart from it.”

If you are interested in adopting Gina, call the cattery on 0300 123 0722 or email stapeleycattery@rspca.org.uk

You can also pop into the cattery, in London Road, Nantwich, anytime between 11.30am to 3.30pm every day except Monday.
