Aldi closed due to 'incident' say police
Aldi in Holmes Chapel has re-opened after thieves targeted the store's ATM.
The Manor Lane store was scheduled to open today between 10am and 4pm.
Sandbach Police tweeted this morning: "Due to an incident the Aldi store in Holmes Chapel is closed today. The store apologises for any inconvenience caused. Sandbach Aldi is open as normal."
This afternoon a spokesman for Aldi said: "There was an unsuccessful attempt to steal the ATM earlier today.
"However, the store is now open again and trading as normal."
