A WORLD champion skater has told Grange Community Primary School students about her achievements during a visit.
Inline skater Jenna Downing held an assembly at the school in Brindley Avenue, telling her incredible story of perseverance and dedication.
The message of the talk was that we can all achieve anything we put our minds to. Jenna has won a wealth of silverware since turning pro aged just 12, but also found time to graduate with a Law degree in 2009.
Children were shown videos of Jenna skating and were blown away by her talent, with many inspired to begin inline skating lessons.
Annette Williams, executive headteacher at Grange, said: "At Grange, we are doing everything possible to inspire our children and instil a sense of belief that the world is their oyster.
"How better than to have such a role model in school – we are all aiming high."
