THIS year’s Middlewich photographic competition has been launched by Middlewich Town Council and Jugglers Management Accounting Services Ltd.

The annual ‘Your Heritage’ competition sees residents submit their finest work in a bid to be crowned the best.

This year’s competition sees a shift to digital-only entries, removing the need for printing and mounting, and winners will also have the chance to be featured in – and on the cover of – a town calendar for 2019.

Categories include landscape, wildlife, built environment, waterways of Cheshire, sport and general topics.

Middlewich Town Council heritage officer Kerry Kirwal said: “Explore our Cheshire heritage through the medium of photography.

“Capture the powerful imagery of our countryside, its wildlife, its people and the majestic historic built environment in which we live. Anything goes.”

The deadline for entries is July 30, with winners to be announced in mid August.

Entries are free and can be sent via email or WeTransfer.

Winners will receive vouchers and a trophy is also up for grabs. Calendar sale proceeds will support the work of Middlewich Heritage Trust.
