POLICE are appealing for witnesses to come forward following a burglary at a car dealership in Sandbach.

At around 2.35am on Monday, May 21, the dealership at The Hill in Newcastle Road was broken into and one of the vehicles inside was used to ram open the front gate.

The offenders then drove off in a black Porsche, which was found by police officers on Broadway in Hale, Altrincham, at around 4pm on Monday, May 21.

Detectives are appealing for anyone who witnessed the burglary in Sandbach or saw the Porsche being parked up at some point between 3am and 4pm in Hale to get in touch.

DC Simon Knowles said: “Thankfully the stolen car has been recovered but the offenders caused damage to the dealership and we are determined to catch them and bring them to justice.

“At least two men carried out the burglary. One of them is described as around 5’ 9” tall with a slim build. He is believed to be in his mid-20s or younger and was wearing dark clothing and had the hood on his top up.

“The other offender was also wearing dark clothing and had the hood on his top up. He had a similar build and height to the other man.”
