'Open coal fire' in Booth Lane house
FIREFIGHTERS were called to an early morning house fire in Booth Lane today, Sunday.
Crews from Middlewich and Sandbach were called to the house at 7am.
A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "The open coal fire was out on arrival, but crews used a positive pressure ventilation fan to ventilate the room.
"Crews were at the house for around 40 minutes."
