THE new Rope Green Medical Centre in Crewe will be open to the public next week.

Together with the practice in 2003, the Central and Eastern Cheshire Primary Care Trust consulted with local people on the relocation of health services provided from the surgery in Shavington and Wistaston Surgery at Brookland House moving to a new single purpose built facility.

Now the vision has become a reality as the new medical centre opens it doors to patients from Monday.

The new centre has been equipped to provide and develop more services to patients near to where they live.

In addition to the current medical services provided, the venue will be able to offer more primary care services such as physiotherapy, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, optometry, podiatry, phlebotomy, minor surgery and health education.

There will also be an on site pharmacy.

Dr Shridhar said: "I would like to take this opportunity of thanking our patients and the Patient Participation Group for contributing to our plans at various open evenings and for their support.

"I would also like to thank all our staff for their patience and enthusiasm for the project.

"The health centre will aim to provide the best possible care and most appropriate health care to the residents in the Shavington/Wistaston locality."

The centre is open from Monday to Friday between 8.15am and 6pm. The surgery number is 01270 275990 and 01270 275997 for prescriptions.
