Stylists to compete for New York trip and Vogue photo shoot

A LOCAL Hairdressing salon is celebrating the news that they have gained a place in the regional finals of the prestigious L'Oreal Colour Trophy Awards.

Two stylists from TPL Hairdressing on Nantwich Road have made it through to the regional finals, which will take place in Manchester on April 2.

The salon's Artistic Director, Robert Myles earned success in the over 25 years category, in which he had to produce a photographic image which interpreted a cat-walk inspired look encapsulating Autumn/ Winter 2008 and 2009.

Senior stylist, Steph Prophett topped the under 25 years young colourist category', for her creation of a wearable women's hair colour inspired by high-street trends.

They will now travel to the regional finals, where they will have to re-create their inspired looks in front of some of the industry's most influential judges live on stage.

Competition will be fierce with everyone competing for the ultimate prize, to secure a place at the grand final in London on June 2.

The grand finalist will be rewarded with an all expenses paid trip to New York and a photo shoot with Vogue.

Robert said: "We're over the moon to be able to clinch a place in the regional finals of one of the most prestigious colour competitions in the hairdressing industry."

TPL Hairdressing proprietor Tim Lawton added: "It's great news that both Robert and Steph have finalised.

"It's a great reflection of the work we do at TPL Hairdressing.

"Today, people want trend setting styles, colour to brighten their lives with a haircut that oozes style and glamour whilst being easy to manage and excellent service to go with it."
