NORTHWICH has been able to re-live its popular Krazy Races event as it was broadcast on television this week as part of the Real Housewives of Cheshire.

Earlier this week, the reality programme aired on ITVBe and viewers might have recognised Castle Hill in Northwich on their screens.

More than 15,000 people lined the streets back in June as a variety of soap box cars raced down the town’s makeshift racetrack as part of the Krazy Races event.

The Northwich Town Council-sponsored Krazy Races event was free to attend, with teams going head-to-head to get the fastest time.

And film crews were on hand to capture members of the Real Housewives of Cheshire cast hurtling down the track themselves.

Posting on social media on Monday, the Krazy Races team said: “Today is a very exciting day!

“At our last Northwich Krazy Races event we were joined by the Real Housewives of Cheshire and ITV!

“Today that episode has aired.

“The full episode is on ITV Hub.”

In the four months since the event, calls have grown for it to be returned to the town next year.

The event will take the same route as this year, with carts zooming down Castle Hill with an event village and viewing within Verdin Park.
