A HARTFORD man has admitted to a string of almost two dozen sex offences.

Ryan Beaumont, of Homewood Crescent, is set to discover his fate after pleading guilty to 21 different offences including voyeurism, upskirting and the possession of indecent images of children.

The 38-year-old appeared at Chester Crown Court on Tuesday (January 2) where he was asked to give his plea to each charge put against him, responding 'guilty' every time.

Judge Simon Berkson then set a date of February 23 for the sentencing, granting Beaumont conditional bail until such time.

“These are serious offences, the court will clearly be considering an immediate custodial sentence,” said Mr Berkson.

The public gallery was full as Beaumont gave his plea.

In total, he was charged with nine counts of voyeurism, all of which took place between 2013 and 2021 in Flintshire, North Wales.

He also admitted to three charges of operating equipment beneath clothing of another without consent, more commonly referred to as ‘upskirting’.

These offences happened between 2019 and 2021 in Flintshire and in Windermere, Cumbria.

Beaumont also pleaded guilty to seven counts of taking indecent photographs of children between 2017 and 2021 in Chester, as well as in Mold and Wrexham in North Wales.

He also possessed 552 category C indecent photographs of children, as well as a category B photograph.

After giving his plea, Beaumont was made to sign the sex offenders register.

How long he will remain on this register will be decided at the sentencing.

Until this time, as per the conditions of his bail, Beaumont is banned from contacting a list of specified individuals.

He must also not possess a mobile phone with a camera, must allow police to inspect any digital devices he owns and must not make unsupervised contact with any under 18s, other than in the ordinary course of everyday life.
