MUM-OF-TWO Jenny Kozyra reviews Arley Hall’s family-friendly adventure trail, Totally Awesome, which has opened just in time for half term.

Get outside and explore the woodland… but you won't be alone!

This woodland is jam-packed with amazing characters and creatures.

There were so many more than I thought there would be and there was some 'Roar-some' themes.

Themes include dinosaurs, the farmyard, Alice in Wonderland, under the sea, the wild west and pirates.

The two-kilometre family-friendly trail is a fun activity for children who are walking up to age 12.

My favourite thing about the trail was the quiz.

Younger children would need help as it's actually quite a challenge, but it definitely encourages working together.

There are questions where you will find the answers on the information boards by the characters' statues.

The info boards have a good amount of information on, so this was great to read through with your children and talk about the answer.

There was a harder question section and an easier section too where you're just looking for the character names so it's actually really good for a wide range of ages.

The statues are fantastic - big, colourful, and really stood out within the woodland.

You can get up close to most of them too, so children can have a good look and feel.

Plus they are perfect for getting fabulous photos.

Warning! It is very muddy.

Please wear suitable shoes or wellies and take spares.

At the start/end of the trail, it was a nice bonus to find a picnic area and a food stall selling hotdogs, nachos cakes and drinks.

In terms of parking, you park in a separate area to the normal Arley car park.

There are toilets in the car park and also at the start of the trail.

Totally Awesome is open at Arley Hall and Gardens until April 1.

Tickets cost £8.95, with under twos going free.

You can also visit the gardens for an additional £10.
