POLICE in Crewe are appealing for witnesses after a man was told he would be stabbed if he didn’t hand over all his cash.
The 24-year-old Crewe man was walking along Edleston Road towards Electricity Street around 10.20pm on Saturday August 30, when he was approached by a young man riding a mountain bike.
Officers said the offender threatened to knife the man if he didn’t give him all his money.
The victim gave him a small amount of cash.
The offender is described as a white male, around 18 years old, 5ft 10ins in height, with shaven mousy-coloured hair and a chubby build.
He was wearing dark coloured jogging bottoms and a dark coloured v-neck jumper.
The mountain bike was silver and diamond-framed.
A Cheshire Police spokesman Shelly Williams said: “Although unharmed the victim was obviously left shaken.”
Anyone with information should contact DC Richard Perry on 01244 615388.
