NANTWICH Market traders have pulled out all the stops to make this weekend’s Food Festival the best yet.

Demonstrations, displays, music and activities have been set up to boost crowds along with special offers.

Councillor Jacquie Weatherill, Portfolio Holder for the Local Environment, said: “Traders have made a special effort to make this event a great day in town. “There are also lots of special market offers to be had, so please do support our traders on this special day.”

Traders will welcome younger shoppers to try the free rides over the weekend.

A host of demonstrations take place on the Sunday including Floristry by Minshull’s Nursery, Wine Making by Barleycorns, Sue’s Puddings Made Easy by The Tea Chest plus Baking and Bread Making, all accompanied by the sounds of local musician Dave Chesworth.

Other displays include Vintage Tractors, presented by the Lions Club, and an appearance by The Sealed Knot Society in uniform.

Town Centres Manager Elaine Dodd added: “You can also take part in the Word Trail taking place in many retail outlets in town. “Simply collect the letters seen in participating shop windows to form the competition tag line, complete your entry on or before Saturday.”

Application Forms are available from the Tourist Information Centre, public information areas or participation outlets.
