CHRISTMAS came early for Crewe design student Charlotte Walsh after she won a college Christmas card competition.
Charlotte’s photograph was selected as the new front cover design for South Cheshire College’s corporate card which is sent out to governors, stakeholders and local businesses each year.
The 19-year-old took a festive photograph of Christmas decorations and used her graphical wizardry to tinker with the photo and convert it into black and white.
Her cover was chosen as the winning entry by college marketing manager Mark Whittaker and Director of Quality David Harwood.
Charlotte has been presented with a cheque for £50 as a result of her handiwork and has also received several copies of the new card to include in her portfolio.
She said: “I’m over the moon to have won. The project proved to be quite a quick turnaround and I enjoyed doing it.
Design lecturer Mike Smith said: “Projects like this are a great way for students to work to a real-life brief.”
