All the fun of the festival

A CHURCH in Crewe is holding its second art, craft and music festival this month.

The Parish Church of St Andrew, in Bedford Street, will host the event from Friday, July 10, to Sunday, July 12.

Local artists will be exhibiting and selling paintings, lace makers will be demonstrating and displaying their work and handmade greetings cards will be on sale.

Children from local schools will also be displaying their pictures taken from a painting competition.

The exhibition is open from 10am to 5pm on Friday and Saturday and 11am to 5pm on Sunday with refreshments available all day.

Light lunches will be served between noon and 2pm each day.

On Friday at 1pm the Beechwood School choir will be performing, and the evening’s entertainment will be a concert provided by Whaley Bridge Brass Band, admission is £5.

On Saturday evening at 7.30pm the Grove Singers will give a concert with a retiring collection.

The Rev Austin Janes and his puppet Karl will provide children’s entertainment on Sunday at 2.30pm and at 6.30pm there will be a shortened Evensong followed by a concert of light music by the Wistaston Singers, again with a retiring collection.
