Police probe petrol bomb attack

AN investigation has been launched after a petrol bomb was thrown at a car in Crewe.

The bomb was thrown at a Ford Mondeo in Bright Street at around 9.45pm on Wednesday, June 24.

A Cheshire Police spokesman said: “The offender threw what is believed to be a basic petrol bomb at a car parked on Bright Street before running away.”

No one was injured in the attack but damage was caused to the car.

A 35-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted arson but police are still looking for witnesses to come forward.
