Bridgemere Flower Show This Month

GARDENERS from are being invited to enter an annual flower show at Bridgemere Garden World in Nantwich.

The centre's 25th show will take place on Sunday August 30 and Monday August 31, with 72 different classes for people to enter.

Garden centre promotions manager Rosalind Harrington said: “We would like people to enter the show and help make it even more of a success this year.

"The event gives gardeners the chance to exhibit many different varieties of dahlias, chrysanthemums, houseplants, garden flowers and floral art in a friendly and competitive atmosphere.

"The prizes will be garden centre gift vouchers for between £1 and £10, depending on the class.

"There are also nine special awards with trophies for categories such as ‘best bloom in show’ and ‘best floral art’.

“There will also be 21 vegetable classes for competitors to enter."

Exhibitors can display their entries at the garden centre on Saturday, August 29 from 2pm until 6pm and on Sunday, August 30 from 6am until 10am.

Judging will take place on Sunday from 10.15am until 12.30pm.

The Flower Show opens to the public on Sunday August 30 from 12.30pm until 5.30pm and on the Bank Holiday Monday from 10am until 5pm.

Entry to the show is free.

Rosalind added: “Last year the show had 420 exhibits and everyone who entered had a great time.”
