CHRISTMAS arrived early for lucky Crewe student Sam Farrow who won the South Cheshire College corporate Christmas card competition.
Sam, who is studying graphics and digital media, fended off the challenge of more than 90 other creative student designs to land a cheque for £50 in the run-up to the festive period.
Sam’s design focused on un-wrapping a Christmas present containing an image of the brand new £74 million campus which is set to open its doors to students in September 2010.
Sam, 18, of Crewe, said: “I’m very surprised because the design that was chosen was part of a package of designs and not the one I thought people would go for but I’m really pleased.
“I thought carefully through the brief and came up with several different design ideas. The project was very good and gave us the chance to work to specific deadlines.”
Designs from all the students were judged by senior managers at the high-flying college before one of Sam’s new build designs was selected and chosen to be professionally printed and sent out.
She also received copies of the new Christmas card to include in her portfolio and a certificate of achievement signed by college principal Peter Swift.
