Police Surgeries Provide A Voice For Local Issues

11:10am Thursday 4th March 2010

POLICE believe regular surgeries, which have begun in the Valley Ward of Crewe, will provide a valuable channel for tackling local issues.

Police Community Support Officer Andrea Smith said: “The surgeries are a chance for people to come and have a chat about anything which is causing them concern with me or the local police officer Matt Dutton.

"On some occasions representatives from the council and the housing association are also available.

“Unlike the larger scale Neighbourhood Action Meetings which deal with more general issues, the surgeries give people an opportunity to talk in private.

"You don’t have to make an appointment; just turn up.”

The next surgery at Mountbatten Court on Alton Street will be on Tuesday March 16 between 2pm and 3pm.

Further surgeries are then scheduled on Tuesdays every two weeks at the same time and place.
