Crewe Travel Fair To Be Hosted By Students

GLOBETROTTERS are being invited to cast away the winter blues by checking out red-hot holiday destinations at South Cheshire College’s annual travel fair.

Travel and tourism students have organised the event on Wednesday March 24 from 10am to 4pm to gives punters valuable information about countries and continents around the globe.

Travel and tourism tutor Peter Johnson is co-ordinating the fair and students from two separate groups have been involved in the planning and promoting.

They will work in teams to promote six different destinations including Mexico, Australasia, Greece, South Africa, India and the USA.

Peter Johnson said: “The travel fair will hopefully give people the chance to find out more about popular holiday destinations that they are interested in and check out some of the latest travel bargains.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for students to host a live event for the public and put the knowledge they have learnt from various elements of their course into practice.”

There will also be a special stand to help raise money for college lecturer Laurie Noble who is climbing Africa’s Mount Kilimanjaro in October to raise money for the Scope charity - the disability organisation in England and Wales which helps people with cerebral palsy.

The Dane Bank Travel Centre is also staging its own open day for college students on Tuesday March 23, where students can check out special holiday offers.
