CREWE Alexandra has made fans' favourite, Dele Adebola, available to move to another team.

Dele, aged 22, has been with the club since he was a youngster and completed two years as a YTS with the side.

Although a price has not been fixed, the club has already turned down an £800,000 offer from West Ham and an offer of £1 million from Sunderland.

Crewe boss Dario Gradi expects that Dele will go to a Premier League or Division One side with a price-tag of at least £1 million.

And he is hoping the fans will support the players that stay with the team once Dele has moved on.

"We are prepared to let him go," said Dario. "I don't think he's been able to motivate himself, and I haven't been able to motivate him, since the West Ham interest. He was very disappointed when we didn't let him go to West Ham.

"I was prepared to sacrifice the money for the player but if we haven't got the player then we need to have the money. It's a shame because we could have done with him but that's that.

"He's been here since he was a tot, I can't remember a Crewe without him and to be fair he's been as good as gold but I just can't get him motivated anymore. At his best he's unstoppable.

"We will go on and start a life without Dele. It will be disappointing as far as the supporters are concerned because he's very popular with them but I hope they are going to give their support to those who are playing and want to play. It doesn't matter how good a player is if he doesn't want to be here.

"We have been looking to fill the void and replace Dele since the start of the season when he turned down the contract. We've enquired about a few players and we'll just keep looking."

Disappointing
