CREWE pupils grilled representatives of major nuclear supplier Urenco in a Question Time style event at King's Grove School last week.
The school organised the event for local high schools in Crewe, Nantwich, Alsager and Sandbach through the Enterprise Learning Network.
It was staged in the new theatre at South Cheshire College and provided an opportunity for local high schools to come together and learn about a business outside of the classroom. Urenco company directors Steve Ball, Chris Cartwright, Peter Bradley and Geoff Owens were on hand to answer questions about issues such as safety and the risk of accidents like the BP disaster.
The event was televised and will soon be available to watch on Urenco's website. Two media pupils from King’s Grove, Adrian Mo and Iona Podmore were part of the TV crew and were in charge of operating the 'boom'.
