A CONTROVERSIAL planning application for the development of a permanent gipsy and traveller site on Parkers Road, in Crewe, will be submitted on January 18.
If approved, the site would house 10 pitches and an amenity block with washrooms, kitchen, dayroom and laundry Residents can still write to the council expressing their views. It is expected that the application will be discussed by the council’s strategic planning board by early March.
Cheshire East Council also confirmed it has received a petition from residents campaigning against the proposed site. The matter will be debated at the next meeting of full council on February 23.
All comments on the application should be sent to: Development Management, PO Box 606, Municipal Buildings, Crewe, Cheshire, CW1 9HP. Or via: planning@cheshireeast.gov.uk
