A CREWE model-making club has been invited to showcase its work at a prestigious international exhibition.
Crewe and District Model Boat Club will be displaying its collection of boats – including a 7ft long replica of the Titantic – at the Northern Modelling Exhibition, which is set to be the largest modelling show ever to be held in the North.
The exhibition will be held at Event City in Manchester over the weekend of March 2 - 4 and is set to attract thousands of model enthusiasts and top international experts.
Dave Melville from Crewe and District Model Boat Club said: “We are delighted to be showcasing our passion to visitors from all over the UK. It is wonderful to see so many people supporting the world of modelling especially as Northern England has such a rich industrial and engineering heritage so it is great to be able to prove that a local club from Crewe can be so highly regarded.
“Our members come from all over the area and it is a great way to meet people who are passionate about the same things as you.”
The exhibition will blend traditional model engineering, steam locomotives and traction engines through to the more modern gadgets and boys toys including tanks, boats, aeroplanes and helicopters.
