DETAILED plans to redevelop the former Stapeley Water Gardens site in Nantwich will soon be revealed.
House builder, David Wilson homes has announced that it is preparing a detailed planning application to build around 150 new homes, following the approval of an outline planning application in 2011.
If approved, the scheme will redevelop the brownfield site to provide new family homes, including some affordable housing.
Ahead of submitting the plans to Cheshire East Council, the developers have promised to inform residents about their proposal and allow people to comment.
Andrew Taylor, Planning Director at David Wilson Homes North West, said: “We are delighted to announce that we will shortly be revealing our detailed designs for the former Stapeley Water Gardens site.
“Over the last year, we have been working hard to design a scheme which will complement the character of the area and are confident that our plans will deliver a high-quality, attractive residential development. Our scheme will help deliver much-needed new homes and offers an alternative to building on greenfield sites in the area.
”We remain committed to engaging with local people about our plans and will shortly be providing further information to the local community about the details of our scheme.”
A dedicated community information line is also available for those who want to discuss the plans on 0161 247 8417.
