NANTWICH were too late to introduce new loan signing David Lynch into the squad that earned a draw on the road at Marine on Tuesday, but Dabbers boss Jimmy Quinn is hopeful that he will make an appearance against Worksop at the Weaver Stadium on Saturday, kick off 3pm.

Eighteen-year-old Lynch joins Nantwich from Burnley on a months loan and comes with excellent pedigree, being voted Burnley's young player of the year in 2010/2011.

After graduating through the Turf Moor Centre of Excellence, Lynch completed a two-year scholarship before signing a 12-month professional deal in June.

A regular at reserve-team level, the Blackburn-born player joined Blue Square North side Droylsden on a three-month deal in October before going on a one-month loan to Blue Square North high fliers Stalybridge Celtic in January.

Quinn said: “He’s a good lad with a great attitude and he’s decent on the ball.

“We’ve got some lads who are good at winning the ball in midfield but we’ve been lacking somebody who can put a foot on it and pass it.”
