BRITAIN’S top show jumper Ben Maher will be demonstrating his talent and skills at Reaseheath College’s equestrian centre next month.

Olympic contender Ben, 29, will give top tips on training novice, intermediate and advanced horses when he appears at the Nantwich college on Wednesday, April 11.

Ben has represented Britain on numerous occasions including the 2008 Beijing Olympics and the 2009 and 2011 European Championships.

He was crowned leading rider at the London International Horse show, Olympia, at Christmas and, since then, has been successfully competing at top level abroad in Switzerland, the USA and Hong Kong.

The master class is being held in partnership with Martin Collins Enterprises, which supplied and constructed the competition surface in Reaseheath’s new indoor school.

Caroline Booth, Reaseheath’s head of equine, said: “We are very excited about the prospect of welcoming such an exciting young rider to the equestrian centre.

“Having Ben here so near to the London 2012 Olympics is a real coup and due to the close partnership we have developed with Martin Collins.

“Reaseheath is gaining a real name for putting on events which appeal to both serious and leisure riders. I am sure that we will all enjoy Ben’s demonstration and learn a lot about training horses to compete at world-class level.”

Tickets for the evening event are on sale to the public from the college’s conference office and cost £20 for adults and £15 for students and under 18s.
