STAFF from Crewe’s Market Shopping Centre will take part in the Manchester to Blackpool Bike Ride next month to raise money for The Christie Charity.
Centre Manager Glenn Davies and his son, Luke Davies, will be joined by the centre’s maintenance contractor, Jim McIntosh of Faircool, and Jim’s two sons Daniel and William McIntosh, for the 60-mile pedal from Old Trafford to South Promenade.
Known as The Market Crew, the team aim to raise £1,000 for the cancer support and research charity.
The race, now in its 26th year, usually features around 8,000 plus competitors.
Glenn Davies, who aims to complete the ride in three-and-a-half miles, said: “The Christie Charity work tirelessly all year round, improving cancer treatment and making a huge difference to millions of people’s lives each year."
