School celebrates new classroom
SOUND and District Primary near Nantwich is celebrating after gaining planning permission to construct a new modern classroom.
The school, on Whitchurch Road, has secured £350,000 of Government funding for the new-build, which will be opened in Autumn, and replace an old wooden mobile structure.
The mobile was added in the 70s as the school, built in 1876, grew in size.
The new classroom, which will house years 5 and 6, will be connected to the main school with a glass corridor.
