Hotel staff go the extra mile for charity

STAFF from the Crewe Hall hotel completed a marathon charity fundraising effort.
Seven ladies walked the 26 miles back to Crewe Hall from the Park Royal Hotel in Warrington.
They raised just under £1,000 for the Wingate Centre, which hosts holidays for disadvantaged children in Wrenbury.
Night manager, Steve Collins, assisted the effort - driving the route with supplies and refreshments.
Gina Cromarty, housekeeping supervisor at Crewe Hall, who organised the walk, said: “We wanted to do something a little different for the Wingate Centre, and when we saw that The Park Royal Hotel was 26 miles away, we thought of a walk between the two hotels.
“Our feet hurt now, but we were so pleased to have smashed our fundraising target that it was all worth it.”
